Is there any easy way to remove hard spot algae?

Over time the glass surfaces inside my aquarium have accrued a ton of stubborn algae. Is there something I can use to get it off fairly easily? I have a scrubber thing, but that isn't tough enough to get it off. I really don't want to have to scrape away at it with a razor. It isn't on the plants or decoration, just on the glass. Though I also have a problem with blue-green algae, but that is pretty easy to remove, just annoying.
