Was i right to do this for my little brother?

Im 16 my brother is 15 and my older sister is 17 and my little brother is 5 theres this 6 year old girl at his school who's been bullying him and we hate it so much so we found out the little girls 13 year old sister walks her home, so we decided we would teach them not to mess with our family when the 6 Year old and the 13 year old were walking home we went the same path and when nobody was around gave them both a beating until they were both on the floor crying we told them if they mess with our family again it will be worse and if they tell we will get them, and we left them on the floor sobbing and crying they were bleeding and had red marks too it felt good to get the bully's the next day my little brother came home happily because the 6 year old wasn't there to bully him, today i have been thinking was it maybe too far and then i think gotta beat the bully's, so was i too extreme here??
