2000 Dodge Dakota - Electrical/computer problems?

You need to check if you have a solid ground from your battery to your engine, and from the engine and battery to the body. There is also a harness splice on the left fender near the battery that is notorious for corroding and causing these kinds of issues. It's in the big bundle of wires running along the inner fender.
